POLITICAL BULLCRAP

Most of the time I do not pay attention to politicians because it does no good. We have been made to believe that what we the people want makes a difference. It does not. We have been made to believe that politicians are of a higher moral fiber than the average person on the street. They are not. They are people just like everyone else. Just because they go to fancy schools to achieve the training to become senators,judges and congressmen does not mean a thing. If they do bad things when they are younger they will always do bad things when they are older. The ethics classes they take does not only show them how to do the right thing it teaches them how to cover up the wrong thing. If you know someone who steals do you allow them in your house unsupervised? No. If you employ someone who steals do you fire them? YES. When did the line become gray? When did it become ok to allow people to continually lie to you? When did it become ok for the average person to struggle to make ends meet while they have taxes taken out of their check to pay the RIDICULOUS salary of people who lie,cheat and steal?
Come one. I live in a small town. there is a prominent politician who comes home from Washington D.C. to relax in my small town.. My mother went to school with this man. His daughter works at a electric cooperative, that he is/was a member on the board, for the average person to get a job there is like pulling teeth from a tiger with no anestesia,almost impossible. They hire family or on a smaller scale minorities(mostly janatorial services). I know about how much it cost when his daughter was married. It was a "grand" wedding. Don't get me wrong the people I am referring to are very nice and I have heard no scandal but I see thecost of their living here in this small town. What is it in D.C.?
My point is that our government IS corrupt but then again most governments are. We pay for their raises. They just raised minimum wage but check out how many times they have voted to give themselves cost of living raises. Drive cheaper cars. Live in a normal house instead of a huge house. Average people do this. Why is it "expected" that our politicians live any better than a middle-class person? Do they have to fly on a private plane? Do they really need to drive a SUV that is top of the line? Not just on in the procession but about 2-5 when they go somewhere. I understand security. There are nutjobs out there but why only 2 people in one Tahoe? CARPOOL!!! I PAY FOR MY GAS AND THERE'S. It takes anywhere from 50- 100 dollars to fill up an SUV. I have one. My friend has a Tahoe. 100 miles and you have less than a 1/2 tank.
I'm just tired of hearing people in office apologize for stupid crap that would land the average person in jail. When one of them gets caught you can bet there are at least 20 more of them doing the same or worse who have not been caught. It's safe to say that the mindset of these people is "Well the Senator/Congressperson from BLAH BLAH does this. If they can get a way with it so can I." BUST THEM ALL. They obviously do not learn by example so clean house. But then you would need someone who could not be bought or intimidated. Someone with no skeletons. Does that person exist? Probably not.
